With so much disinformation going around in the media from both sides of the government. Did the Democrats ignore the first amendment and seize control of the majority of the media?
First Amendment: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
When our founding fathers assembled the constitution, they were sure to differentiate freedom of speech and freedom of press. This in turn, protected the press from our government taking control. The writers of our constitution were very smart and knew that the press must be free from government control. What they did not anticipate is how media companies, instead of reporting actual and whole news, would become avenues for propaganda.
According to the Democratic Party Platform, they claim; “We are committed to doing everything we can to build a full-employment economy, where everyone has a job that pays enough to raise a family and live in dignity with a sense of purpose.” But if you take a look at the Democratic run states below, you will see this is far from the case.
